Tom and I drove out Framingham, MA to pick up these fish today.

This is the sailfin that had MHLLE and seems to be lacking color.

This is the saddleback clownfish with and eye injury/popeye....we are calling her Olive Oyl.

There is only so much reading and question asking I can do. I really wanted the opportunity to try some of the stuff I read about out for myself. I expect my microscope/camera to arrive in about 2 weeks. I hope with taking pictures I can document the progress of these fish.

Ok...I don't know what to think. The clownfish was in QT at a store for over a year. I was told her eye never improved there. I got her last Friday and took her photo.

As of today the clownfish eye is NORMAL.. At the store she was in a 10 gallon tank one piece of live rock. At my house she is in a 55 gallon tank with 80+ pounds of rock. Her lighting is better at my house then what she had at the store (there NO). She is under (tell me how to say this PLEASE) 50/50 65 WATT 10,000k/460nm Actinic...I'm sure I didn't phrase that correctly...(I don't speak the language of lighting as of yet...but I'm trying to learn).

Any guesses of what made the swelling of her eye go down?

can't tell from the pic if that is reall an infection.... usually it looks a whole lot worse than that, and the fish wouldn;t live that long with the eye w/o dying.

food, any cleaners such as shrimp?
I had an eibli develop a real bad eye infection long ago, but the shrimp came to the rescue- the eye never recovered, but the fish lived for many a long year.
