New Sand Sifting Stars

We purchased 2 stars with our anemone a few days ago. They are doing terrific!!!

These guys are so active and outgoing! They've quickly become the centerpieces of the tank. When our guests walk in it's not "Oh look, Nemo!" or "Ohhh... what pretty corals!" it's now "Wow! Look at that star!"

I love these little (for now) guys! I wish our (not so local) lfs would have had them in stock sooner.

they are realy cool I've got two of them myself. You do have to run a deep sand bed in your fuge though, otherwise they'll clean out all the good lil guys from your sand bed and starve.

I am not sure why running a deep sand bed in your refugium will replenish the "good guys" in your display tank sand bed. Could you enlighten me?

Our sand bed is probably about 5" deep in the deepest spot. I've also been feeding them with mysis shrimp and liquid invert food.
