New Scoly question

Scooped up a bleeding apple at reefapalooza on Saturday. Its my first scoly. Not first coral by any means just first scoly :)

I wanted to know how long a break in period might be on these guys, I got it at the bottom of tank in a lower light spot and would say lower flow in the sand right up against a rock. If is fat and looks fine but I have yet to see it explode out with its feeder tentacles. I feed it on Monday and it quickly ate it up and kind had the feeders out but did not over inflate and stretch them out like I have seen. I feed the tank daily Rods frozen food so fish and corals get food daily, spot feed couple times a week... anyway is this normal? is it still breaking in or do not all scolys do that?

yes but possibly I did not check late enough or long enough after lights out??? I also have checked in the morning before lights on and still did not have them out

Unless I put food in the water my scoly doesn't react to anything other than a fish being on it. At night it pretty much turns itself inside out to eat. It's been doing great for three years

i have yet to see mine turn inside out. It eats when it catches food or i feed it but never turns inside out like i have heard them... so im thinking maybe its still adjusting or maybe it doesn't like the spot i put it in??? Or do not all of them do this?
