Seeing the one in your thread made me realize I hadn't posted mine (P. rubripinnis). DD called it a Red Rooster Pygmy Wasp, but on Greg/Renee's website it's called Red fin Wasp. Take your pick of names, I guess.
I love redfins too...waspfish in general, I think they're some of the "sleeper" fish in the hobby in that they're really great fish, but you don't see them often.
So here they are, you can kind of see the second one. I decided to try these little guys, even though I haven't found very much success on here with them. One of them looked really skinny, even though it said they were eating... We'll see how that works out.
I have the lights off now so that's the best picture your going to get for awhile. :wavehand:
I've always wondered what a "pygmy waspfish", specifically. Waspfish are ALL small fish.
Alex,
You'll want to try the Caracanthus on small ghosties at first. IME, it's hard to get them to eat guppies unless you can get them to swim right down to the fish. You may need to try and net train them if you can't get food to them.
Once the fish are eating, you should try the ol' "dead ghostie on a stealth stick" trick...IME, it's tuff for the fish to resist them.
The Red Fin and one of the Crouchers are eating PE Mysis, the other ate a small ghost shrimp. :celeb3:
And on an unrelated note, I got my Leaf fish to eat some mysis as well. :bounce2::bounce1::bounce3:
