Buddy if you think you can keep two adult seahorses in a 5g tank longterm your fooling yourself.
It could be done with a 30g sump, or with daily 100% water changes, but the biolad for two seahorses cannot be supported by a 5 gallon tank. There is not enough room for the rock and filters in a tank that size to handle the load of the horses.
Not to mention the stress you are putting on the animals by not giving adaquete swimming room. Some things are a question of can but should, that does not come in to play here, you can't.
You will have water quaility issues, followed by disease, followed by death. The first symptom of disease may be death, but you might get a symptom first.
I would be shocked if they lasted a week, I'd place large sums of money that they will be dead in a month.
