New Set up Question

I just Fab'd my tank stand and set my 80 Gal. on the stand. I was peeling the annoying stickers off the inside of the glass and it's left glue smudged on the glass. I've tried using a razor to scrape it off but I'm not having any luck.

We don't plan to put any water in for probably a couple weeks since i still have the cabinetry to build, but is there anything I can use that won't leave a harmful trail behind. My wife suggested goo-gone but I'm nervous about the chemicals.

Thanks

As long as it's empty, I wouldn't hesitate to use goo-gone. Just clean up the residue with rubbing alcohol or vinegar and it should be fine. Cleaned up the residue from silicone when making my sump with rubbing alcohol and all is fine.

I have always had success with peanut butter. Just smear some peanut butter over the affected area. Let it stand for 24 hours and then just wipe it off.

Seriously I'm not joking and its non chemical.

Peanut butter also brings the "black" (or color/shine) back to plastic exterior automotive trim.. Not to mention how it goes wonderfully with jelly..

If you cook with peanut oil it will do the same as peanut butter with out all the mess, so will baby oil or wd-40.
