New set up

livin on the salty side
Okay I finally have it set up with water and everything hooked up. Now it needs to cycle then I can start adding livestock. Thanks to Jeff for all his hard work setting up all the electrical and plumbing. All the wiring runs into the tall red cabinet to the right. I stil have to put on the cabinet doors but will wait until I am sure everything is running smoothly.

I am hoping for a quick cycle having used fully cured live rock and rubble in the fuge. I added some fish food as an ammonia source but not sure if it will be enough. I may throw that b***ch clarkii clown in there to cycle it......the problem would be getting her back out later.

Josh I am not sure what a Belize fixture is but I doubt this is one. This is the fixture that comes with the tank. It has a 150w mh and 2 t5 actinics. The light stand is one that is made by Current usa I believe. Jeff and I modded it to fit this light as I wanted the light off the tank. I will lower it once I am finished mucking around in the tank as it's height is fully adjustable.

Now all I need is to win that RKL .....

Corals and fish to come later. I wanted a minimal rock look and the rock is really holey with all kinds of caves and swim throughs. I will probably have mostly zoas and a few sps and lps . I have a few that i have from my old set up that are in a small qt right now. As for fish I am leaning towards a radiant wrasse (once I get a full lid) pygmy angel, midas blenny, and a small watchman goby at least that is the general plan right now.
