New Skimmer

I got a new (used) skimmer today. It is a Octopus NW-200 I have a couple observations about it.
1. The thing that sucks air in needs to be bigger.
2. I need to find something to set the pump on. I dont think the Mantisyahu CDs will work in the tank.
3. Where do I get a gatevalve to do the gatevalve mod? I havent seen them at Menerds or Rural King.
4. I need to find something to set this sucker in

I have the Octopus 300 DDNW and I don't suggest drilling out the air inlet. It doesn't just go straight down from the tube, it makes a 90* turn inside the gray pipe and then theres a washer inside it from there. Beings yours is not a Recirc style you might not have the little washer, But I'd check it first. If so take it out cause it covers up half of the air intake hole. However you might want to ask ncox38 about his, he has the same one you've got I think.
