New Skimmer

I have been looking at your website and I wanted your opinion. I am going to upgrade to a 75 gallon with what looks like a 30 gallon sump. I currently run a CPR bakpak on a sumpless 55 and I really hate it. I am looking at going to an in-sump skimmer under 300. I would like to keep around ten small to medium fish, with a tomini tang being about the largest, all others considerably smaller. I would like to get some nice color out of my SPS and be able to feed. Do you have any recommendations for a skimmer?

I would recommend taking a look at either the Vertex IN-100 or the Vertex IN-180. Both of them are in your budget, and provide the most "bang for the buck" that you can get with a skimmer in this hobby. If you have the footprint room for the IN-180, then go that route, if not go with the IN-100.

Here are links to both skimmers on our website:

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Jeremy
