New SPS frag

I received a blue stag frag about 1'' and it has been in my tank for about a week now and i realized it never extended its polyps. The mother colony is doing fine according from the source (my friend).

Looks bleached in the pic to me. Try moving it down.

I'd personally leave it alone give it time to settle in vie had frags not start growing or give polyp ext for months then they take off

It looks like you just fragged it on the top and bottom. It hasn't started to encrust to the epoxy yet. my guess its stressed. hopefully it is near the bottom if you just introduced it to the tank. if so is leave it alone and give it some time. you might want to check at night forpe.

its only fragged once, it chipped of the mother colony, and it didnt cover the epoxy yet. Should i move the frag lower to the bottom? its on the top currently

generally its best to start new frags at the bottom and slowly move them up

Does it have flow? And try to get lower nitrate- did u cut back your light cycle ?
