just got this clam today.. its about 3 inches, in the store looked great, great expansion on both sides.. its been in the tank for a few hours opened nicely but there is not even expansion on both sides, one side of the clam extends farther than the other.. i know it has been just been put in the tank but i was wondering f this is bad.. i am totally new to clams.. thanks

what lighting did it come from and what is it under now?

how did you acclimate the clam?

what is your temp,Sg,Ca and Alk?

it came from 400 watt 20K i have 250 10K, 81, 1.025, 400 or 425 tested yesterday, 9DKH.... acclimated for an hour drip..

even though it came from 400 watts, the switch from 20k to 10k can be a bit of a shock. can you shade it a little?

here is a pic, its at an angle, and also about two hours after being put in the tank.. its just that the right side in the pic is extending farther than the left. it was not like this at the store?is it normal? i understand it will take a little for the clam to adjust to my tank but it is showing extension just why one side farther than the other? anyone else have this problem ever?
