The original tank was break down about 5 weeks ago, becasue I have to move it in order to setup 3 more tanks; this tank is the first of five tank setup that I hope to complete in the coming weeks, by then all five tanks will be connected together.
I sold most of the original corals before the move, all the rocks and corals, fish were move to a black pond I purchase from home depot. Oh, anyone thinking about using one of those pond DON'T! They SUCK. I return my as soon as I don't need it anymore.
There is no more sand in the current tank just live rock, I did have some die off once the water was fill up. Only about 30 gallons of the original water was put back the rest are fresh mix salt water.
The ammonia level in the first two hours jump to about 2.0, after I added bacteria in one hour it went down to .5 and the next morning its back to 0 thus the cycleing is completed.
