New tank build

After my tank crash a few years back and the military I found it very hard to get back in the hobby. Now that I'm out of the military I have more time for an sps tank. I got in contact with Aaron at Sps Coral Store and he put the order in for my new tank. This tank is being built on a budget so i tried to find as much as possible on the forums besides the tank and stand. Here's a list of my goods for the tank.

36" 24" 20" rimless LeeMar with starphire panels and corner overflow.
Custome built steel stand by a good friend.
36" TEK Elite 6 bulb fixture with ATI bulbs.
Reef Keeper Lite with a bunch of upgrades.
Bubble Magus skimmer.
Bubble Magus dosers.
Seaside Aquatics dosing containers.
MP-40
Eheim 1262 return
Custom built sump
All plumbing will be hard-lined
TLF Gfo & carbon reactors
BRS Carbon & GFO high capacity
BRS two part with magnesium.

Here's my rock work.

Oh man.. this is gonna be a great tank build! I'd also suggest an eight bulb ATI fixture. You can get one on ebay for a very good price.

I really would like to do that in the future but as of now the Tek Elite 6 bulb will be just fine.

On a side note, I have located all my old school sps including purple monster and blue matrix. I'm very happy about this.

Also, here's the look I'm going for with the stand. I want to be able to see the metal work that will be going into the steel frame.

Gonna be nice, thanks for serving!

Thank you and thank you.

Little update: the tank will be here in two weeks. I'm going to put the rock sculptures I made in some trash cans and cycle them starting this weekend. I'm hoping I can get the tank filled with corals by the end if this month.

I appriciate the offer but I have a friend that is a metal fabricator and he is doing it for me.

Haha, he can build you guys stuff too. I'm going to run live rock and chaeto. I was thinking of doing mud but don't want the responsibility of changing the mud out.

i tried mud, didn't see much results/difference from it, and then got rid of it. live rock and chaeto, but chaeto isn't growing anymore now

I ran mud in my first tank years back and had no problems. I think now I'm just gonna go with live rock and chaeto. I don't know how the chaeto will grow for me because I will be running GFO and carbon

Quick update for everyone, I recieved my Bulk Reef Supply order today and everything was good except for my mur-lock water supply dapter is a 3/8 fitting and I need the 1/4 fitting. Kind of numb out because I wanted to start making water for the live rock cycling tonight. If anyone has a spare or knows a place close in Irvine please let me know. Here's a pic of the shipment goods.

P.S. the schedule 80 bulkheads or huge.

Got the RO up and running tonight and I'm making water. I will be hanging it up and drilling the hole into the drain line tomorrow. I will cut a the line down once I can get that return drilled and I will take pics of it when it's cleanly set up. The stand will be finished next week along with the tank. Also ordered a toms aqua lifter for my auto top off set up.
