New Tank Cycle - Help with Identification

Cement Mule

While I have not entirely new to Saltwater Aquariums, it has been over 10 years since I got out of the hobby. I am setting up a new 29G Biocube... It has been cycling for about three weeks. First week was only water and I added live rock about two weeks ago and a cleanup crew last week (snails and red leg hermits). There was one sea urchin that came with the live rock... and one small frag that the LFS gave me, but not sure what it is. But, there are lots of things growing on the live rock.. some of the growth I am not sure if it is good or bad, so I could use some help with identification. Thanks in advance

I see some zoathinds (pic 4) and palys (pic 2/3) as well as what looks like some pulsing xenia (pic 4). As far of the first pic I don't know.

The macro you have in pic 1 tend to be a little invasive. I think it's called fuzzy caulerpa but it is common on wild live rock. If it has a root system it will tend to come back I would keep an eye on it.

Since you have palys please read the sticky on the top of the forum titled: poison warning.

Some palys can be deadly.
