New tank delivery and inspection questions.

I'm planning to order a new 250g tank from Miracles in Glass. I'm leaning towards paying the extra $75 to get a truck with a lift gate so that delivery will be unloaded at the base of my driveway. I'll then rent a pallet jack and shuttle the tank into my garage. I'm not sure on the mechanics for how I'll get it into my house since there are three concrete steps in front of my front door.

Regardless, what type of inspection do I give the tank before I send the truck driver on his merry way? I assume I open the crate and give it a visual exam for cracks while the driver glares at me for taking up his time. What did you do?

check for chips, major scratches, cracks, and check over the seals.

dont just look at the front, make sure to look at all 5 sides.
i say 5, because there is a bottom!!

Miricles has an amazing name, and they didnt get that by packing shotty and shipping crap.
but, things happen.

after a major look at everything, make sure to look closer later just in case you have a funky scratch somewhere, you can report and show pictures.

(miricles probably has a checklist or something if you ask. see what they recommend to look at before the driver leaves, and see what is reportable after they leave.)
