New tank flow question

Hello, I am having a starphire 5x2x2 built. I have 2 mp 40's now and am going to put them on one side. My question is, is an mp60 to big for a 5ft tank? I found a new one for 550$ and would rather do that not only for price reduction but less mechanics in the tank. I was going to put two more 40's (or 1 mp 60) on the other side. I have a reef link and radion pro's so they all sync up. Thanks for any input.

Seems a bit excessive to me. Why not just run one MP40 on each side?

Better to have 2 smaller pumps from different directions than a single large one.

I'm worried about dead flow zones that's why I want so much flow. Hard to get things going in my cube now.

I'm running 3 MP40s on mine and seems just right (52 x 26 x 19). I bet when it grows out I'll need that fourth one, LOL! I bet 2 MP40s would be fine at least at the beginning. At first, I had trouble keeping the sand down running them at 50%. Now I occasionally get a bare patch running them 75%. I still feel like I could crank them higher but want to do a little at a time. In NTM, I run them at 50% because the wave I get is scary
