Definitely getting there bud, especially like the wrasse. Does he ever stop flashing? ;) the zoa bridge is filling in nicely too.

Love the way dragons eyes glow under leds that bridge will look super hot once it's all filled in. Nice wrasse too prob get the same one when the new tank is done cycling.

Thanks for all of the positive words everyone. Quick story:

I live in an apartment complex and have to run a hose up to my 2nd story balcony to filter my water through my RO/DI. Last night the security was called on me. I go to the door and a security officer is outside looking pretty ****ed. The conversation goes:

Me: Good evening sir whats goin on?
Security: You tell me. Some neighbors complained about this hose going up to your apartment. I come up here and see this water filter. Do you have pot growing in your house?
Me: What?!!? I start laughing and he gets even more mad.
Security: Are you growing pot? I've seen people purify water to water their plants.
Me: No way hah

After this I invited him in and he was stoked about the tank and said everything was cool. He still has to write up a report, but nothing bad is going to go down.

I guess I have an alibi now! ;)

Thanks Lorenz. Patience is a killer

Anderson- This thread gave me some inspiration

Especially Y-diver's scape.

I bought the dry rock from Aquatic collection down in hayward. I think it was one of their clients left overs. I was looking at BRS's rock and Marco rocks, but lucked out it was kind of local.

I bought an acrylic rod from tap plastics down in San Rafael. Went to Home Depot also and picked up a couple of sticks of aquamend or whatever that epoxy is called. I picked up some zip ties too to keep the rocks together.

After that I got to trying to shape rocks. Once I found a good fit I drilled a hole for the plastic, cut the right size rod, epoxied both ends and stuck them together. I put the zip ties to keep the rocks together so they could dry. It all kind of came together over a few days.

You can see the piece of cardboard cut out of the bottom of the tank so I could keep my rockwork at least 3in away from the glass on all sides. It gave me an idea of what it would look like too.

Once I had my pillars up I cut out some smaller pieces of the plastic rod to make kick stands for them so they wouldn't fall over. I epoxied these to the bottom to make everything more stable.

Also, when you epoxy the rocks and you can see it, rub some sand on or leftover rock dust on the epoxy joint so that it blends in better. Otherwise you have obvious stark white joints and it kind of takes away from the flow.

Nice demo I especially like the footprint cutout you did. That's a great idea, especially for smaller tanks. The sand or rock dust are also good thoughts. Well done

Thanks Grant.

Anderson - I seeded the tank with a few pieces of LR and sand from Grant. You would be surprised with how much life you get from only a few pieces.

Hey anderson the tank looks great!

Here are some new pics of some rics coming out of QT and the two SPS I got from the NOV meeting: Purple plasma and birds of paradise

This SPS is one of the first I got from Grant. One arm is growing like crazy!

Another colored stick - ORA borealis

The one armed bandit from Grant looks like his A. formosa. Hardy, furry and fast growing for an acro. Purple Plasma and Borealis are two of my favorite ORA corals. Here's a shot of each when my tank was rocking.
