New tank question

I have had my tank running for a little over a week ( Rock was curing for 2 months) and I have 3 fish in it. No ammonia, nitrites, or nitrates. Looks like I am starting to get diatoms. Wish there was a way to bypass this step of a new tank. Along with the diatoms I am having a ton of bubbles coming up from the sand and some of my corals. Is this just from the diatoms? If not what is it? Should I be concerned?

It is probably just diatoms. I had a lot of bubbles in mine and it finally went away, just has to run it's course. Some times it lasts for 2 or 3 months, depending on the silicates in the water as well as in the sand. We all go through it. Try to be patient and do something else while it goes through this cycle.

Ok, thanks. That is what I thought and was hoping it was. I hope it doesn't take 2-3 months.
