Hey Guys,
I'm looking to getting an Anemone in the future, but I was curious about something.
I have had my 45L Nano setup and running with my clowns and 5kg of live rock and 1.5 cm (yes cm not inch) sand bed for 13.5 months now, so it's very mature.
I've just setup a 260 Litre vision with 30kg of mature live rock from a fellow reefer (although it was posted to me) and new sand, mix of aragonite, small bag of caribsea live sand and will be adding a cup or 2 from my mature 45L.
If I use the 5kg of rock from my 45L along with a couple cups of sand and all the water, will this help in maturity enough for the new tank or would it still be considered brand new in terms of anemone keeping?
I'm very experienced with manual dosing of elements as I had high stock of hard corals in my nano. So keeping params stable is not an issue should they need it.
Cheers for any advice.
