new tank

So here is my plan, someone please tell me if this is a disaster waiting to happen.

I plan on cutting a new 2x4 to serve as a temp brace, basically the new 2x4 will be placed about 4 inches to the left of where the current one is. After sercuring the temp brace i'm going to knock out the current 2x4, slide in the sump then reposition the current brace back in place. I'll end up using L brackets to reattach the current brace in position so that it is safely mounted to the stand again and won't be able to move.

Sound good? Or am I asking for trouble?

Didn't Melev take out a center support to replace a sump a few years ago? I think I remember seeing it on his website at one time.

I'll try to snap a few pictures late tonight. Wife's birthday today so won't have much time to work on the tank today - she's says it's not fun...

Got everything transferred last night but of course the new skimmer doesn't fit in the sump so ill be skimmerless until Tuesday. In the process of putting together an aquascape. Posting a picture of how things looked this morning, will post another once my scape is complete

here is the pic before the scape
