Im planning a 300 gallon drop off tank and need some expert advice. The plan is to build a 24" square tank 40" or so deep and an 8' x 20" x 24" high tank which will have one end open and attached to the 24" cube tank. The hope it that this will create a sturdy drop-off tank. all built out of 3/4 acyrlic maybe 1" not sure yet. here's the plans Let me know what you think and if you think itll work.

I would make the long section of the tank the same width or its just going to look disjointed. You want it to look seamless and with the long section being more narrow its going to look like you stuck an aquarium on the end of your aquarium and I'm sure thats not what you want.

Other than that Its a cool idea. Just my 2 pennies.

That was what I wanted and even thought about doing a single panel across the front. My worry is that there have been several of these tanks that i have read out there that cant handel the stress and break. Im not exactly sure how much pressure an acrylic joint can take. do you think if I glue it right on the edge the seam will hold. thats putting the stress of both seams in a smaller area.
