New TB customer .. setup question

I have just finished the preliminary setup of a 90gal Oceanic. I will be receiving the my first shipment from TBSaltwater on Wednesday which includes 100lbs livesand and approx 90lbs liverock. The tank is full and I know I have to drain some, but wonder if anyone has a clue as to how much, as I have to put the sand bags in and dump them. The rock setup is no problem as I can always do that as I go. All chem levels are good and don't want to take out too much water. Any help appreciated. THANX ...

I siphoned half the water into some containers to reuse and then after adding sand and rock then reused the water. You are going to have to do water changes and since there is nothing in your tank yet nothing is wrong with it to reuse.

Basically I have a 29 gallon. I got 29lbs of sand and 29lbs of rock in my first shipment and when I removed half my water I only put 1'4 of it back. I just received my other half of rock and had to chuck about 1/4 of that...
