New TBS Tank started leaking, Need Advice

Posting here because I don't want to have to explain a TBS tank in the general forum. Received part 2 two and half weeks ago.

My 90 gallon tank started leaking, luckily my daughter saw it right when it had started, could have been much worse. I placed everything in rubbermaid bins, sump, and brute trash cans. Everyone has power heads and heaters. Should everything be OK? The leak was in the bottom of the tank and was seeping over the frame (AGA), no way to pinpoint the leak so I replace all the silicone in the bottom of the tank and am waiting for it to cure.

Everything has been out of the tank since Sunday PM. I can't test my silicone job until tomorrow (Wednesday). If all goes well (crossing my fingers) I won't be able to put everything back in the tank until Thursday. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. My biggest fear is sparking another cycle and what I might lose. The sand is in it's own bin (power head and heater) and since it is about 5-6 inches deep I have mixing it a little hoping to avoid the bottom layer building up bad stuff.

I always hate to hear horror story like this one, I guess it is everyone's fear.

As long as you have kept the temp consistent you should be fine with the rock just keep an eye on the sponges as they hate air. As far as the sand, I would not stir it too much as you could hurt some of the living organisms in it.

Well good luck with the fix.

+1 on what tsp said i would really watch the sponges but if you keep everything constant i dont think the rock or sponges care what type of tank they are in

make sure the silicone is fully cured before you add water and then your rock back in

Test ammonia and be ready to make water changes if needed. And if it starts spiking and something is going south, you are probably better off ditching what is going south than trying to save it and killing other stuff too. Or at least move it to its own bucket.
