New to algae ... help

Hi,

I've recently got back into the hobby after quite a while, atm I seem to have some relatively unexpected suscess with a few algaes.

My problem is is that I would like them identifying so I can understand a bit more about them .... all this and my camera's broke.

I have the usuall patches of caulerpa, some 'standard' some not so standard.... I have what I assume to be 'bubble caulerpa' but not sure.

Is there a thread or site which can identify by pictures and teach me more?

Also I have this 'leafy' tan coloured algae that is growing very fast in stems, and has what looks like seeds/pods on them?

What i'm doing is keeping them strictly in check until I undersatnd more about them, I do not want to crash the system.

Any help woul;d be greatly appreciated.

Your leafy tan with small ball-like structures is very likely to be a Sargassum species member.
