I live in Milford,DE, does anyone know of any good places to buy fish that is relatvly close? (looking for neon blue gobies and tiger pistol shrimp).

I went to a place called "the fish bowl" and was not too impressed...

that the only good place i can think of in your area. there more into corals but if you call they will get the fish you want

There is a little store called Pet Safari, in Lewes DE, right off Rt 1. Not as good as Dr Mac, but far better than the Fish Bowl. About 50/50 fish and corals

Ya stay clear of the Fish Bowl... the place is the worst in Delaware!.. There is also newark tropics and just fish in newark.... I really like ECA right outside philly.

Pet Safari has in the past took some dramatic swings from very bad to pretty good. If you go there and do not like things visit again in a month and you might be surprised. As with any place the employees are really what can make and break a store. They've had trouble keeping some of the good employees.

Dr. Macs is suppose to be awesome. I have not been there yet, but really would like to when I get the time. It doesn't seem too close to you, but when you begin to think about it, Dr. Macs is really your best LFS.

I'm glad you posted on this thread again. I'm jealous any time you guys talk about Dr. Mac's because it's too far away. I just realized I am going home for thanks giving and I am going to be close. Anyone up here (northern DE) need anything from down that ways I might be able to pick up? I would probably make a trip there the Sunday after thanksgiving.

Hey Jon been living at work practically lol. You'll love Dr. Mac's I guarantee it. The atmosphere alone is enough to make you happy. His corals and inverts are basically what you would see in pictures and not find in many stores locally here, yeah they're really that good. You'll see .
