New to Clams

I just got what I believe is a blue crocea. Wanted to check and see if I have good conditions for him.

I have a 110g 26" tall tank with Icecap 660 lighting. The clam is right at 2 1/2" long. His "foot" at the base of the shell is very white and his blue is very dark, almost purple.

I have him in the sand right now (thats were the guy I bought him from had him) but I do have live rock 3/4 of the way to the top of my tank.

Move em up the rock? Strong, med or slow current?

The 660 is driving t5's? I'd see if it will attach to a base, then move it as close to the top as you can; unless you have an open enough space up in the rock for it to move without falling over. They do ok in medium and strong current so long as they're not getting blasted directly- as in the mantle flapping about. you may want to feed phyto until it gets a bit larger. And I can't resist making a plug for metal halide, especially with a crocea; they love strong light, but lots of folks say they have great luck with t5's.

Ok, I moved him about 12" from the top of the tank. I am running four 110 watt VHO's.

I also bought two feather dusters on Saturday and one still isnt coming out. Two days of hiding normal?
