new to hobby, question about sump setup.

There are many things you can do with a sump so the bigger the sump the better. My original sump was 40 gallons and I replaced it with a 53 gallon since I had the space for it. There are 4 compartments: In the 1st I have my wool (mechanical filtration). My 2nd compartment I made the biggest so I could have a refugium here. The 3rd I have my skimmer and algae scrubber. The 4th is my return pump and I have a small reactor here to run activated carbon. In my refugium I have sand and a media reactor for GFO. I also have here chaeto algae, 4 corals, 3 maxi mini carpet anemones, 2 anemone tube worms, a maroon clownfish (which I have to protect from my red tomato clown in the DT) and tons of pods and tiny feather dusters. It's like a small aquarium. I used to have live rock here but removed them when I found them trapping detritus. The flow is good now and no more detritus settles here. I need the pods for my mandarin and my plan is to get a second mandarin so I can't have too much pods. The detritus settles in the 1st compartment with the wool and I clean this properly once a month.
