New to Hobby--Start with Refugium?

I am new to the saltwater hobby and am using a Proflex 3 Sump for my 90 gallon build. Should I start with a refugium setup or can I add later once get more established? Any insights would be appreciated.

You can always add one.

They are helpful for the initial cycle and a good place to start reducing the initial nitrates/phosphates. But very easy to add later if you plan it from the beginning.

either. Easier to do plumbing before you have a functioning tank. Don't forget to budget for a quarantine tank, too, which cannot share water with the other system.

i have the same set up and started with a refugium... coralife also sells a light which fits the lid as you will need a source for your macro inside the refugium

I would much rather see if I could create a happy healthy reef tank WITHOUT the use of a refugium, as opposed to setting one up right off the bat only to realize later on that you didn't need one to begin with. (specialized feeders aside)
Like mentioned above though, there is no shame in adding a refugium in the future if need be. I just like to keep things simple. Less is more sometimes... GL.
