can you get a picture of the top of it?

maybe some kind of acan/favia, but it is tough to tell from that angle.

I was going to guess the same thing, but either way their requirements are about the same. keep it lower in the tank, they usually do best in low lighting, i target feed mine twice a week or so. Lower to mid flow would be good as well.

here was the best crap cell phone shot i could get, Wife has my camera and macro stuff, i did notice a chunk of mysis shrimp get stuck on this guy this morning when feeding

definitely looks like some kind of acan/blasto/favia. nice piece. has a very cool color combo.

care is as Art said. good luck! :)

awesome, hopefully it does well, im starting my first reef tank and got convinced to pick up a few to start growing while we get the big tank set up. being my first corals, i was worried ide kill it right away. The owner at the LFS showed me a few (that i ended up buying) easy to keep corals, but for 5$ each i figured ide give them a shot.

acans, favia, blasto, whatever it turns out to be, they are all fairly easy to keep. As long as you keep calc, mag, and alk in line. other parameters they aren't fussy about like sps. Mine were in a tank where the algae got out of control and it was definitely a dirty tank, they still thrived.
