Total newbie with octopus, but I am researching before attempting. I have kept saltwater aquariums for close to twenty years.
I have a 110 gallon that I'll be keeping the o.bimaculoide. I do not have a sump for it, but will be running a Eheim and a Lifereef skimmer hang on.
My main question here though and I've done some searches, is the covering of the tank. I do not want to totally cover it to a smothering point, so how do you do it?
Acrylic cover attached to the plastic tank edge with holes in it or would a velcro screen attachment be sufficient?
Also, what else if any other types of species could be kept with the octopus?
