New to OKC

The skimmer is an sc65. Got if from eBay for $70 shipped! Great skimmer, works better than the tunze I was running that cost twice. In fact it's pulling out twice the gunk.

nice setup. i have a bc29 also with sump. how do you control nitrates. i have always had a little problem with them. consistantly between 10 and 20.

I skim and run carbon and GFP. Not that the GFO helps with nitrates. Every week I do a 5g water change with Red Sea Salt. My nitrates range from 0 to .5 on a Salifert low range kit.

Nice meeting you and I like the frags I got from you.

Nice meeting you too. The frags I got from you are all opened up and doing great.

is your tank just coral? I feed too much and need to back off some. I also decided to start doing 6g water change every week instead of every other week. hopefully that will help. where did you move here from?

There are three damsels, two clown fish, one manderin, and one peppermint shrimp. I moved from Wichita falls tx. I do 5g a week in water changes.

Yes the manderin is eating vitamin enriched frozen brine. I feed every other day. I have a very healthy population of pods.

My brother has a large collection of acros and is always looking to expand. Shoot me a pm some time when you have time with what you have to offer, and I will forward it onto him and see if we can work out a trade for some pieces.

PS
Thanks for the info on the skimmer!

Thanks for the heads up. I won't be trading for acros or any other SPS. I sometimes have frags of SPS available but i'm still trying to get mine to color up from the move.

Added a PM effluent hamber to help keep ph up. The effluent chamber dwarfs my reactor, lol. It was expensive but it sure is solid and nice.
