New to saltwater

I just bought my first salt water invertebrates yesterday. I aimed for an anemone and a percula (true or false). My anemone is doing fine just now but I was wondering if my anemone will be stressed or endangered from turning off my switch light at night. I know this question may sound quite obvious, but today I went to the LFS and one of the employee suggested leaving the light on 24/7. Will turning the light off harm my anemone at night or should I leave the light on?

Turning the light off at night would be the wise thing to do. You will probably run into nuisance algae issues if you leave the lights on 24/7. What type of lighting are you using? Your lighting may be a little too weak - this may be the reason why the LFS employee suggested the 24/7 idea.

Corals and anemones will do fine with light turn on 24 hr, but fish will be stress and die if light leave one continuously.
