new to snorkling

well yesturday i went out for the second time. i have cheapo set of us divers split tec fins, and a excellt mask and snorkle. i need a recommendation on a cheap set of fins that wont make my feet cramp, yet still allow me the freedom to move. i have glasses and cannot see far without them, do they make a mask that allows the use of glasses? I am going to consider contacts.

The best bet on the fins is to see if the local dive shop will let you try out some different ones. Ones that don't cramp my feet might very well cramp yours, and vice versa. It's too individual of a thing. That said, usually the less stiff the fin, the less likely it is to cause cramps. The other trick is to be sure they fit right, they should not be tight.

For a mask, you can get diopter lens to that will correct your vision. Unless the mask you have is one that can have the lenses replaced, you'll need to get a new lens. Living in Florida I would expect you should be able to find a good dive shop that can help you out with that

yeah good advice go try them on. I love the old school rocket fins by US divers. Still the best to me!

I shy away from getting a mask without trying it on. you want the mask to fit your face (leaky masks are no fun). most dive shops will sell mask's that can use pres. lenses.

Gull makes good masks. they go under a few different names but the lins will say Gull in the corner.

i have a mask from this company already, but that when i use dot snorkel in my pool. it doesnt fit me anymore but it did really well.
