new to sps

I just started putting sps in my tank and am not sure what to do other then increase my flow (should be here today), use calcium/alkalinity supplements (already did), upgrade to mh/t5 (already did), running a big carbon filter (soon), proetin skimmer.

Any insight as to what I should be doing to keep my sps healthy other then that stuff?
Which Test kits should I use?
What kind of bulb should I be using for my MH (250w + 96w t5)?


Any help is awesome!!!!!

For your bulb, I would highly recommend a phoenix 14k...as for test kits, salifert or seachem.

as for healthy SPS, just check out tanks of the month and see what they are doing in order to keep SPS.

Read all the threads on page 1 everyday. You'll learn alot. It will only take 10 minutes a day.
