New to the Area and looking for an LFS

Hey all,

I just moved to the area and was looking for a good LFS. I live in Redondo Beach, so the closer to that the better, but I also realize that is not always possible especially in LA.

I am also looking for someone who is good at working with acrylics?

Any comments are appreciated.

i just moved to the area as well and spent a month in Redondo before moving to N Hollywood. Where did you move from?

Your options around Redondo... All are within 15 minutes of where I lived (Prospect and Ave C). Aquatic Fantasy was my preferred shop - really nice folks! Neptune's Reef was pretty good too, a little aloof though. Fish Wonders was next to impossible to get into, their hours are erratic.

I moved from Dayton, Ohio. I have been to Aquatic Fantasy. Its right down the street from me. Seems like an okay place. I will have to check out the other two. Thanks for the info. Oh, and if you find any really cool places in N. Hollywood let me know.

You might also want to check out Jeff's. If they have want you need you'll get a better price then from the other stores in the area. If they don't have it, they can usually get it.

I stopped by aquaticoutlet the other week but even though they have some very cheap fish there was just too many dead fish floating around in tanks so I did not feel comfortable buying anything there.
