Well folks...let me teach you all a lesson...I have been talking with my accounting division (the wife

) about the money appropriations to get my 75g build started...she isn't thrilled about the amount...like a $1000 (or so - give or take

) is a lot for a reef...anyway...
She decided that it will be cheaper if I upgrade the nano in the bedroom to a 30g tank so she can have me put a lot more xenia in there for her to look at...I've never been satisfied with the 10g since I put it up, cause I wanted a couple more fish and room for lots more corals...so anyhow, she twisted my arm until I agreed to upgrade the tank and slowly get stuff for the 75g between now and tax return time...geesh...
So the lesson of the day is this...GO BIG GO EARLY!! This is actually a saying me and some of my other paramedic friends use referring to the sizes of needles we prefer to use on pts!!

But, it can apply to tank sizes in this case as well...go with the biggest size tank that you can reasonable afford in the beginning so you aren't stuck with the added expense of upgrading later...
Me, I'm lucky...I am trying to get a 30g tank for free from a fellow local reefer...if not free, I'm positive it will cost much less than what it would at a store...and I can use the 10g as my sump...or get a 20g Long for the sump and use the 10g as my quaranteen tank...but I ordered another 96w Quad light setup and some moon lights today...tomorrow I go to Lowes to get lumber, plumbing and electrical supplies to build the stand although she is under the understanding we are going there to primarily look at a replacement dishwasher!! :lmao:

Shhhh...
Guess now I need to have an admin change the title of my nano thread so I can showcase my new build once I start it...
