Steve,

Sorry to hear about your fire fish...looked nice...

As for stopping you before you spend again...feel free to spend away, just send everything to me... :D

Like Colin said before, you should be ok on your water params since you got the little guy outta there before he had a huge chance to foul your water...probably have enough bacteria in the sand and the live rock to handle the slight albeit temporary increase in the bioload...

On another note...my 10g is going away!!

But, it's being replaced by a 30g!! :D Friend of mine gave me a free 30g tank and stand...stand will need redone as it has no skin to it...and the legs are not square - the face has decorative scrolling on it which I may turn in to molding and use regular 2x4's for the legs...I have ordered almost everything I need for it except my RO/DI unit...I have coming moon lights, another quad light and a Quite One 3000 return pump...I'll convert my 10g into a sump so I just need to get glass for that and I'll be ready...I'll post you guys a link to my 30g build when I start the thread...trying to acquire lots of frags locally so I have more to show in the tank faster... ;)

slukach! You are definitely hooked and out of control!
Aren't we all.
I guess there are worse things to be addicted to.

Colinadam already posted in the LPS forum. I don't think it is a Blasto Merletti .

I'm interested to know how that biocube works out. I heard they're nice. The only thing I haven't heard (actually haven't researched) is if you can take off that canopy and hang some halides on it. Or if nanotcustoms can install some MH in the canopy. You probably could is my guess. Of course, PC's would be perfectly fine depending on what type of corals you want.

I would also have at least 2 MJ1200's. In addition, can't hurt having a fuge in the sump area too.

Ok, red goni got here...but....there are about 4-5 "holes" here and there on the coral. I was watching one and I thought the coral was expelling waste, but this little flower-type thing came out and then went back in super fast. Is this one of those pest anemones? If so, how do I get rid of it?

A pic may be tough because it is so small and the pic is usually blurry super-close.

Ok, off to the LFS....let me know what you guys think....

hopeful reefer: nanotuners is the best!! I heard Chris is very helpful and his customer service along with the quality is very good. Do they customize biocubes now, too?? I've just heard it with nanocubes and aquapods. I myself have a nanocube, but went topless rather than through Chris (just b/c at that time, he didn't have a high enough wattage MH canopy. I think it's out now for the nanocube, but haven't checked in a while.)

I haven't had any gonipora before but someone correct me if I'm wrong these are the polyps...they will extend to feed on phytoplankton and whatnot that they find in the water column...good stuff, not bad... :) (providing they are little, tiny holes anyway and not holes as big as a penny or something like that... :D )

The polyps are the things that are actually covering the coral. But I have info....

I just got back from another LFS today and they had a red gonia exactly like the one I got from Bryan (only smaller and more expensive). The little things are small feather dusters and people will actually look for red goni's that have these all over them. Something I didn't know, but a nice little hitchiker. The woman has wanted a few featherdusters for a while.

We have live rock that has a bunch of feather dusters in them...one piece of Tonga Branch rock has 2 feather dusters in it...I'm thinking of buying a few of the bigger Hawiian's (sp) later though...just cause I think they're cool looking... ;)

these are really difficult coral to keep. PM me and i will send you an article that will help with goniopora. Cool coral though

I just realized I have no will power!
here is my newest addition.

The Yuma looks very cool. Good snag. I saw a purple/blue goni today at the LFS and had to get myself out of the store before I bought it. UGH!!!!! I may go back tomorrow, weather permiting. I bought a red and green favite yesterday and a red lobo type as well. I should take a pic of the new corals and post it.
