Again happy b-day Colin!
just to let you guys know ,everything survived the cold temps and seem to be doing well.
I got my trates down to 10ppm with water changes and plan on anothe friday.
I also made a couple of mods . Pulled the filter cartridge and a large sponge from the back chambers and now i have a wad of filter floss on the drip tray of my second chamber . I removed the false bottom of the first chamber and finally got my heater out of the display an in the back.

King, the video did not work, I clicked the pic and it took me to photobucket where it worked.

Got the live rock in today, I must say I am disappointed in the size all really small. The pile I have it in is kinda cool tho, but doubt I will keep it. I will supplement with the fiji I have once it is cured. Got it curing in the tank. Will shoot some pics either tommorrow or Sat.

Saturday is the big Rockford Frag Fest, over $10,000 in prizes! I will be shopping for the new tank!!!!

Also Tom, my friend Jenny is looking for some rock, no big rush but if you are looking to sell it I can ask her if she's interested. I was thinking of hitting Sho Tank this weekend and seeing their rock.

I might, I am curing the new rock. It was pretty clean and one piece was smothered in a dead sponge, threw that out. I am going to mix with the fiji, may try and find some Marshall island and tonga. I want diversity. I was going to get some TBS, but shipping a small amount made it $11 a lb. too rich for my blood.

Hi all been a while since I have been on here all the pix are looking great.

Colin, the onyx clowns do they start out without the black on them then it gradually appears? Whats interesting is my supposed perc was completely orange but now he looks like your onyx. I will take a pic tonight and post.

Hey greg,

Yeah as the clown matures they get more black. You can see a grown onyx at www.rods-reef.com, that's where I got mine. I am keeping the on in the picture on the bottom, my friend Jenny is taking the top one. The top one will get more black but mine has that cool T-bar white band.

Can't wait to see a pic.

yea i think we hit the nail on the head... probably was sold an onyx by mistake. can the onyx be kept with any other types of clowns?

An onyx is a percula clown with unique coloration. My friend Jenny has a perc and plans to add this Onyx to the same tank.

King, yeah if you type a word on the naughty list it gets the *** treatment before it even get's posted, the forum software does it automatically.

I don't really know the history of the Onyx, I know they are percula's with more black, something to look into though.
