New to the Nano reef

OK back to business. I got a blue mushroomtoday it is unattached any where i tuck it , it blows away. So I took and old plastic guppy net and snapped off the handle . Now I have the net over the shoom and a frag of LR holding them together I am hoping to see the mushoom attached in a couple of days . Will this work or are there any other suggestions?
 
The shroom attached itself to the LR frag in less than 18 hours but i will leave the netting on till tomorrow morn to ensure that it is fully secure.
Here is a pic . I know it is only an individual mushroom but it was the first blue that I have seen in person .

O.K. I have been trying to find a good little freebie website service. I mainly want a place to upload pictures to about my tank that is more organized than my photobucket account for friends and family to see so I got a little website going. It is far from done, mainly all I did was upload some pictures. Anyway it's here:

Also I got a neon green candycane from a friend of mine in a trade (Traded that destroyer Acan for it).

You can see it on the right side of the tank, the thing glows like crazy.

I got a few new additions today at the Rockford Frag Fest!

Some zoas and a fungia.

And, Colin I am not trying to copy you but, the Mrs. saw these baby onyx clowns and they were a deal and a half so we got these juvies.

The perculas got banned to frag tank for being mean to the firefish and to the onyxs.

Did you get those from a guy named Matt? Those are cool, still very young, I think he said they were 75 days old or something.

Colin, Yeah I got it from Matt. I could not believe the deals I got there! Spent just a hair over $100, the clowns being the most and I got eight zoa frags, including bam bams and x-man palys. The fungia and a feather duster. It was packed and the vendors were really willing to deal, even more towards the end. Did not win any prizes tho.

You got the X-man paly? I am so jealous. My buddy hansfran has soom that he is growing out for me, his were Lunar Eclipse but have started changing to the X-man morph.
That is a STEAL on the clowns. I paid $70 just for 1, I didn't even know he was going until I saw it on Uberfrags a couple days ago.

Yeah we'll have to get together this week, I need to clean out a soapdish :)
 
Colin, I got a good size frag of the xmen, let me see how they do. I could possibly cut you a few polyps.

Hey guys...I went to a frag swap hosted by our local reef club here in Richmond, Virginia...took some pics of everything I aquired and thought I'd post for all to enjoy... ;)

I drew Number 1!! :D And with it I grabbed this...it is a Green Maze Brain...it was probably the nicest of the non-SPS corals there...several other people were looking to ninja it from me while I wasn't looking but I caught them looking!! :lol:

Next, I drew Number 7...I grabbed this (very tiny) Ricordia Mushroom...it is the one on the left...

While I was there, I also "took delivery" of 4 frags that another local agreed to give me...provided I get him some frags of my stuff including the African Super Blue Xenia that I'm scheduled to get from a guy 2 hours away in Virginia Beach, Virginia in a month or two...nobody in Richmond has any of it so I'll be the first...plenty busy fraggin it eventually... ;)

First one from him was a small finger leather...polyps are just barely starting to come out this morning after being in the tank for about 3 hours...

I also got a ricordia mushroom from him as well...it is also in the picture above, the one on the right...this rock actually has a bigger one and 2 or 3 smaller ones...

Next, I got a 2-headed Torch Coral from him…after being in the tank for a few hours, the polyps are WAY OUT!! It’s polyps are all over the place, mega long!! Hoping that my clowns will host in this one since they won’t host in my xenia or frogspawn…

And his final contribution to my tank was this Toadstool Leather…after just a few hours, the polyps on this one are way extended as well…I am VERY happy with what I have gotten from him…

This was not all though… :lmao: I also got this Frilly Mushroom from another local that was at the swap…it is about 2-3 inches across…very nice…

Ok…that’s all I got last night…7 corals total… :D Not bad for just a $20 contribution towards getting the frags for the swap… ;)

Oh…just a few quick updated pics for ya all…here is my super fast growing Silver Pumping Xenia…Colin, this xenia came from twon8’s tank… ;)

And also a picture of my Frogspawn…notice how the head on the right now has 2 mouths…they have just developed in the last couple of days…can’t wait, I’ll have a 3-headed frogspawn here very soon instead of a 2-headed one… :D

Oh yeah, Colin…I tried to ninja some of the Zoos from twon8’s zoo tank…unfortunately, he is temporarily lighting that tank with natural sunlight so being 8:30 at night I was unable to see the colors…I’ll have to stealth back in some other time so I can get some really nice colors!!! :D

Soon, everything in this tank will be in a 30g tank…I have the stand sanded and I’m going to Lowes to buy brushes today so I can stain it…by next weekend, I should have the new tank running…I’ll post a link to my new tank thread once I make it… :)

Sorry for the quality of some of the shots…I’m still trying to learn macro shots with this camera…at least they are a little clearer this time around now that I found the tripod we have for our video camera and I used that to stabilize the camera…

Liking the rics to, very cool.

Yeah if you ninja stuff from Twon you'll have to post some pics. He has the best looking Eagle Eye Zoa's I've ever seen, in addition to the ones I posted a while back and the radioactive dragon eyes that I had for a short time. Man I need to get a hold of him and see if he still has any more of those dragon eyes, those glowed!

Not sure what he has and doesn't...the tank he had the LPS and Ric frags in last night only had a few (like maybe 4 or 5) Zoo frags in it and I really wasn't paying much attention to them...

As for the Zoo frag tank he has...he has a TON of frags in there...he has something like 3 or 4 eggcrate shelves in that tank...and all the shelves looked full when I glanced at it last night...send him a PM...he is almost always online kinda like me... ;)
