new to this topic, please help with ideas.

I am new to saltwater aquariums i have had my aquarium for about 10 months, i have a 30gallon with a maroon clown, an ocellaris clown, a mandarin dragonet , and a Rose Bubbletip Anemone. But what i have been itching for is some type of marine plant. (not coral). I just dont know where to begin. my LFS isnt very helpful when it comes to this topic either. they gave me a ball of some algae but i had an extremely tiny spiny box puffer at that time and he ate all of it, I didnt care for the look of that algae anyhow.
So my question is what types of marine plants/algae are beginner friendly and compatible with my setup.

Caulpera species are easy, and they have a lot of variety. Check out C. prolifera, C. pasaploides, C. sertularlodes.
