After much success with my 8 " x 36" recirc skimmer I wanted to build a nicer one out of clear acrylic. Here is my 12" x 28" dual recirc needwheel skimmer.

A 190 worth of pumps and 20 dollars worth of bulkheads and about 4 hours of work.

Bulkheads. I have some low durometer silicone that I used for the seals. This thing should really pull the crap out of the water.

I am not plugging it into my tank until tomorrow so I will post some pics then. Water intake is at one of the recirc intakes. This helps reduce the amount of turbuence from the water intake. I am still have to make a difuser manifold for the water out. I might do that later this evening.

Just bulkheads. the silicone seals are 0.5 inch wide. more like a donute. I do not have to worry about leaking since this sits on top of my sump so all the water is contained. I leaked tested it and it is fine. the Silicone seals work very well.

what pumps did you use for this skimmer? looks very nice ,thinking of doing one my self ,every time i see some one make one it get the jiuces flowing ,,lol

I used two sedar 5000. Was going to use oceanrunners since they are cheaper but they are hard to get now. I like these better because they are smaller. I only have lenghts of 12 inch tubing so I had to glue two together to get my height.

what do you think should i go wiht the sedra like you the 5000 or i was thinking of this pump that premium aquatics has it is a little less expencive GX2400 40 WATTS 635GPH little more power to it as well ,,thanks for your help

The original plan was to use oceanrunners since you can not find them I choose the sedra over the GSX because I used it before and liked it. I have not see a GSX. It is a little cheaper but that is all I know.
