I ordered the tunze osmolator after alot of people recomended it for my setup. I want to have storage container with RO water next to my tank and I just want it to add water to my tank when needed, thats it:) I just wanted one that did'nt have a history of causing floods. Could you tell me how I set it up for my application? Does the sensor go where the return pump goes? I guess I can just wait till the thing gets here to read how to do it but I just want to get an idea:)

well I put my sensor where my return pump goes ..the reason being is when the water level drop in that conpartment it triger the osmolator pump. Remember the return hose from the osmolator should be to the tank.. ONLY the sensor and the alarm in the sump..

I had one for almost a year now. I went on two weeks vacation with no problem..Pricy but worth every cent....

Do you mean the storage tank or the main display tank?

the pump of the osmolator in the storage tank and the hose from the pump to your main display.. Remember the hose to the display should not touch the water or else .........it would suction the water from the main tank...

If it is put in the sump and the water level in the storage is higher than the sump water level it will drain the storage... run it up to the display to avoid this (overflow box is best IMO) In your case just clip it on to your hang on overflow and you will never see it...that is if you still have the same tank tha tis your gallery....:)

Roger, I recieved an email from Marine Depot saying the osmolator is on backorder. I hope its not like the streams? Any idea when they will have them?

I think the backorder should be resolved this week as they were sent some last week. We generally keep up with the osmolators pretty well, I may be out for a week or so and occasionally their are bigger delays. Right now I am out but I filled MD"s order last Thursday. I have more coming in next week.
