New Vortech question about the frame cover...

Hi All,

About to get my Vortech wet for the first time and I was wondering if the frame cover stay on while in the water? Thanks!

It will try to snap loose while not connected but once in the water it will stay in place due to the magnetic clamping force. It will hold in place securely.

Okay, when I plug in power I get nothing...

Seems the light on the power supply is turning off when I plug in.

I'm stumped! Anyone ever have this problem with their EcoTech VorTech?! I can't even get to turn on after following the instructions for both pumps...

Nothing happens except for the light on the power supply turns off when I plug it in.

Please give Greg at Reef Geek and Tim a chance to correct this issue. Having 2 dead out of the box at the same time doing the same thing is a rarity. There are reasons the Retailer, Eco Tech Marine and EcoTech Service do things certain ways. I am sure the problem will be corrected expeditiously.

Yes I will give it a chance and hopefully I will be getting new WORKING pumps as the end result.

I just feel REALLY uncomfortable having to give my credit card number out as collateral for two pumps that were not working straight out of the box. Those pumps already cost me over $800.

Yey, I got the replacements today...and WOW...THEY WORK!!! I knew it wasn't that complicated to install the pumps. Hopefully I can finish my projects/upgrades by the end of this weekend!

Sorry for the problems with your pumps out of the box and I'm glad we were able to work together to get the problem rectified. You'll have to excuse the time it took to coordinate the effort, there were essentially four people involved.
