The inlet is on the bottom and the four outlets are around the side.
Wouldn't this make it extremely hard to plumb? I just can't picture four outlets all going in different directions....

thanks... that was the link I was thinking of...... this appears to definatlely be a refinement.... I'm very close to ordering...

This is nice!

As far as mounting it - Take the 8 way for example. I am SURE that it would be more compact and "cleaner" than 4 sqwd's.

People keep trying(myself included), but you cannot fit 10 lbs of crap in a 5 lb bag.

If you have a tank that can use 8 different inlets, then you will be able to find room for this.

It seems that some posters envision this in the tank. It is external and not submersable. IMHO

Sweet never-the-less.

I wonder about the replacement of the motor. It looks like a damper motor for HVAC systems. Does anybody know what it is and confirm it is 120V

BTW - flex pvc is great!

I dropped a note to the inventor and he said its in the family of the motors in a SeaSwirl, just with more torque.... so I believe its AC

Seems like an 8-way squid to me. Only one port is activated at a time, so you'd have a mag9 flow going out one 3/4" outlet at a time. The other 7 ports would be dead. So, flow changes around the tank, but there wouldn't be a lot of flow.

I do like the 4 port version better than a squid; it looks more "industrial" and like it could be cleaned and maintained.

oh, and the guy e-mailed me with prices etc. He said he was sorry about the delay in response (um yeah, it took all of 2 hours, probably about the fastest turn around in customer service you can dream of)

here's a link where he's answering questions:

Very nice design!

I'm thinking that the 360 rotating heads could be pretty easily modified to 180. Think two ports instead of one, with the back port blocked off when it rotates past it. Similar to some of the pop-up sprinkler heads. Other angle setups could be made easily too, but with his skills, I'm sure he has thought of this and is working on it. :)

I can't wait to see one first hand. I'll have to ask the LFS to get a "demo" unit in.

Zeph

Yes, LFS demos!!! If you can pull that off, make sure to whip up a sand-storm in that tank, I think that's the true test of any wave-making device - not that I constantly have sand in my water column, but a few tiny pieces always make it though, and those are the ones that cause all the problems......

gotta admit though, the guy has a beautyful tank:eek1:

I believe if you look on the web page you can have the outlest from 3/8 to 1" so this should not be a problem. Also you can hoave more than one outlet going at once. Check out the web page.
