I LOVE all the yellow this guy has peeking through!

Me too . The back third of the body is more of a traditional chocolate color but the rest has a ton of yellow/golden brown mixed in.

Thanks, and yeah it was. It was a very gentle take and it will be interesting to see if that changes as acclimation to tank life continues.

He's just chilling and doing the eel thing. Kind of a passive eater so far (has fed only 2 or 3x since I got him) but everything is great. Active, beautiful, and hasn't eaten any damsels...yet. Couldn't ask for much more.

Here's a pic I took last night that gives you a pretty good idea of his color and pattern. Couldn't get a full body shot, but he gets progressively darker towards the anterior with his tail being very dark brown. Please excuse the dirty glass.

Are the cleaner shrimp still setting up a cleaning station for him? Or did they become a snack?

I have a trio of cleaners that I am planning to establish in my guys upgrade tank before I move him over.
