new yellow coris acting strange

Yesterday I got a pajama cardinal and a small yellow coris. I noticed the yellow coris wrasse was lying down in the bag. I thought it was just stressed, and a normal thing. I acclimated them by dripping for about 1 hr. Then I added them in. The yellow coris wrasse swam off and settled on the bottom upright against a pvc pipe. There is no sand in the qt. Later in the day, it did swim around low to the ground looking for food, which is normal. Then it would go lay somewhere. Today, it is doing the same thing. I see it randomly lying somewhere such as in the middle of the tank, or right against to a pipe where some clownfish are hanging. When I see it, it is in a different place. It seems to look ok, but it moves slow. Is this normal? I never had one before, so I don't know what to expect.

were these fish shipped to you or did you buy them locally. if they were shipped, you need to read this...

if they were bought locally, it may be that he is just stressed and will come around soon. is he eating?

i got a yellow coris wrasse from liveaquaria last week. the only time i don't see him out swimming (he's in a 10g qt) is at night when he buries himself in a bowl of sand i put in the tank. the rest of the time, he's all over the place and after just a couple of days learned to take food from the end of a syringe.

hope your guy does ok for you!
