New zoas how high should they be?

I have new zoas coming today and am wondering where I should Place them in my tank. My tank is 24 inches deep and I'm running 4 54 watt T5

Depends upon what type they are... Some like more light/flow than others...

They are mostly green and purple.

Start them low and as they acclimate to the tank move them upward to get best color and growth.

Agree with Dustin. Your sand bed is always a good place to start.

What lighting were they under before?

I've never had a zoanthid bleach under 400 watt halides on my 75 or 90. I wouldn't be afraid to put them higher than the bottom under your t5s. My recommendation would be to put them where you want them to be, but if they came from somewhere that had them under low lighting then I agree that low would be the best place to start.

They were under halides.
