new zoas

OK I bought some very pretty zoas from BenF today. I have never bought zoas from anyone, and only once have I bought corals at all. While I'm killing time before I meet up with him, I go by Aquatic Visions. This place is killing me!!! I'm not used to them having stuff like this I want.

OK you zoa kings and coral queens, I don't know what you think, but I'm new at this!!! These pieces are just opening up. This is what I bought. This one was $40. It is missing a 3"x3" piece in this pic that fell off and stationed somewhere else in the tank I put it, and the reddish/brown guy was on it too.

Look at the second one. It has a visitor from MY tank who has now been been sent off to the refugium ( I love him...but his costume has gotten too cute), and also, what is that larger thing toward the bottom right? It has a deep green base and mouth. It's not a mojano anemone or w/e it's called. I'll try to get a better pic in the morning.

.......and they had over a dozen more giant pieces of this stuff!!! .....grrrrr I wish the student tanks were all set up so I can buy more.

Of all the the things I bet my mom worried about me being addicted too, I bet it wasn't reefing!!!

wow those are some good pics and some real nice colonies you got there . the thing on the bottem right looks like a majano to me i had a bunch when i got my rock people say kill em .

Ladyfsu, great catch, those are radioactive dragon eyes. Im kinda into the crazy names that the zoas are given...Where is this LFS at??? Anyone goin up there Wednesday or Thursday?? I definatley need to check them out.

They are generally closed on Wed. to public because they ship out stuff that day.

They are in New Port Richey but I don't have address right now. It's on another thread somewhere. I'll look for it in a minute.

Thanks for telling me the name. I have no idea. I called them "bright green things". Somehow your name sounds better, lol. I ought to post up some of the others at school and maybe you can help me with those names too. I'm not the best photographer but I'll try to get some decent pics. What about those orange ones...I'll take a better pic of them too once lights come on and they open up.

I hope they grow quick so I can share the wealth.

The orange ones look like "solar" zoas. They're cool because they have little feather dusters in them around ever 30-40 polyps or so.

public. the guys name is shawn and he is VERY VERY nice! Joey if you want something I can pick it up for you and bring it down when I pick up the rock this week. just pay for it when I get it to ya. you just get on 19 . turn on ridge road, turn right on congress. then turn right on pin hill road. it on your left.
