newbie acros on 58g

I used the bracket mod that everyone is using on reefcentral to hang my seio. I hated those suction cups. And yea, definitely you can't use wavemakers on seios.

Well, holy crap. I've asked that question about using seios with a wavemaker and kept getting a resounding NO, don't do it, standard wavemakers used for other powerheads, like the redsea wavemaker, would burn up the pumps. So how much is the seio controller going for? If it is affordable perhaps they will be giving Tunze a run for their money and perhaps entice them to lower their god awful prices!

I doubt the seios will ever give tunzes a run for their money, Seios run on AC and tunzes are DC, or is it vise vera? i dont remember, but because of that the Tunzes are alot more controllable. With the seio controller it swill only swing the pumps down to about 30% and back up to 100% so it will not be as dramatic as the Tunzes. And as far as price I have heard the $180 range. Only heard, rumors you know accurate those are.

Well, given that tunzes are still four times the price of two seios of any size and the controller, I think I can live with the seio specs at this point.
