I used a stand with wheels (they were industial coasters for 3500+lbs) kinda like for a piano. I built it....got the stuff from nothern or a place like it. It was cool to be able to pull the tank (72 bow that Eric has) out from the wall to wipe down anything or just get around to the back of it. I advise that you drain and inch or 2 of water and epoxy (or whatever glue you all use) your rock scape but it isn't a non doable thing. It may stress the seams of your tank and such??? maybe not??? It worked for me for about 3 years

Yeh I was wondering about the weight capacity of some casters and i will probably get all of mine at Northern as well! I am welding the stand up and am gonna make it super sturdy for the weight that will be on it so I won't have any worries.

I initially got into saltwater fish after seeing the setup Szechuan's had in their Chinese restaurant. Now its gone because the tank busted..

Ok...them are to give you guys the idea of what I can do for ya to trade on items! I would be happy to coat misc. stuff too that is also aluminum and steel...including home decorations and things you may fab up from time to time.

Powder coating is a much more durable coating that resists alot of chemicals and abrasion that wet paint cannot. You can either use it on cars, home decorations, or practically anything that is metal or aluminum! Like I said i will be powder coating my aquarium stand for the 55 gallon tank so it will look great with the tank and be durable being metal vs wood.

If you are ever out, check out the racks at walmart. They are powder coated a color called silver vein. Or go to the mall and check out the metal chairs in the food court. Most everything is powder coated now where a durable coating is needed! I've even considered doing outdoor old metal chairs to resist the weathering and abuse they take over a period of time.
